Q: Who are you?

I'm Audrey. I'm a graphic designer with a passion for branding, the color turquoise, all things creative and DIY.

Q: Currently binging:

HGTV all day erryday and This is Us.

Q: What are you really effing good at?

Design, DIY, home renovation on a budget, wine. I'd like to think I'm a good mom to our 3 year old as well. :)

Q: What is one tip you'd give someone about their instagram feed?

Curate your feed as much as possible to make the it feel beautiful, clean, and cohesive. And please don't share every moment or thought you experience.

Q: Advice for other business owners out there that are just getting started?

If you really want it, go for it...don't make excuses. Trust in yourself - you're gonna kill it.

Q: Draw a picture of your ideal client.

Clients who are fun and trust us enough to let us do what we do best are my very fave! I love receiving helpful feedback when needed, and I especially love it when clients don't try to micromanage every step of the process. It really takes the fun right out of the project.

PRETTY IMAGE MAKER
LIGHTROOM GENIUS
DRY SHAMPOO LOVER

Q: Who are you?

I’m Lauren. I’ve been living the freelance hustle as a professional photographer for just shy of a decade. You name it, I’ve shot it. I got my start shooting for publications and since then my career has taken me all over the photo spectrum — live shows/events to portraits, interiors to food, weddings, product, lifestyle, branding, fashion, corporate headshots, e-comm in big commercial studios, and even photographing priceless works of art for one of the nation’s top museums.

Q: Currently binging:

I am public radio junkie. Not a day goes by when 89.3 isn’t streaming in my office…on my phone…in my car.

Q: What are you really effing good at?

Studio lighting — creating and manipulating light, producing dank images, editing wizardry….and yeah I can crush a Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuit sammie in under 8 seconds.

Q: What is one tip you'd give someone about their instagram feed?

Decide whether your ‘gram is going to be business or personal, mixing the two muddles the water and confuses your target client. Consider running two accounts…one for biz, one for personal.

Q: Advice for other business owners out there that are just getting started?

The ideal client has a full understanding of and appreciation for quality work. There’s an adage that sums this up perfectly: “Good. Fast. Cheap. Pick two.” An ideal client gets this. They know they are making an investment that will pay itself off over and over again in future business

COFFEE DRINKER

Q: Currently binging:

The OC (circa 2003), Spotify - Avett Brother's Radio

Q: What are you really effing good at?

Squarespace, authentic design and the bigger picture. I see what an end project can look like and how it can work very early in the process.  And, I'm really good at drinking beer.

Q: What is one tip you'd give someone about their instagram feed?

YOUR OWN unique photos + your story = a feed I want to follow.

Q: Advice for other business owners out there that are just getting started?

Be smart about what you invest in as you start. If you're hiring creatives, you often times get what you pay for. When you hire creative work (photographer, designer, etc.) you're upping the value of your brand.

Q: Draw a picture of your ideal client.

Smart, knowledgeable and really really fun. Someone that has done their research, shopped around and still ready to book us for their project. They have and idea but are willing to give me unlimited freedom to make their idea totally badass. They use sentences like "I love this so much, what if we did this to take it up a notch?" and it starts to become more of a creative collaboration than a traditional client relationship.
