3 Ingredients to a Badass Website
As you may or may not know - we build Squarespace websites for all kinds of businesses - big and small. Squarespace is the best platform we've found that not only allows incredible autonomy with your design and layout but it's also mobile responsive which is HUGE. As we grow and build and work with more clients we learn, refine and get better with time. Here are three things that will send your site to the next level to attract the absolute best clientele possible.
This is such a big part of your website. We always recommend hiring a professional photographer. It's worth it and you'll be so happy you did. This takes your site to an incredibly professional level that's hard to achieve with iPhone images, old instagram pictures or stock photography. Often times this people find they have to pick between hiring a designer or a photographer. Save and hire both.
Are you in the KC area? Three photographers we love are First Class Photography, Jamie Montalto Photo and Lauren Frisch Pusateri. They are all some of the most talented individuals in the area and have unique styles and ethetics.
You can have the most beautiful images, logo, design and layout and your website can totally suck if you don't have great copy. Do not rush through this. Think through what you're saying to people. More importantly, HOW you're saying it. It seems like when we build websites people get insanely professional and start sounding nothing like what it would be like to have a conversation with them in real life. Or, they skimp. It's hard work to write copy but it's unbelievably important.
We'll admit we've seen a couple cases of too much copy as well. There needs to be a balance between copy and images.
3. Design + Branding
Yep, you guessed it. This is where we come in! We take your site from generic Squarespace template to authentic can't-stop-looking website. This is what makes your site YOURS. It will be what takes your site from amatuer to professional. You can check out all the details of our web design packages here.
